TORONTO - June 2, 2017 marked the 3rd Anniversary of MMC’s (Municipal Mechanical  Contractors Limited) Annual Charity Golf Tournament which is held at the Club at Bond Head.
Three years ago the tournament was established on behalf of Mrs. Connie Morresi (wife of Paolo Morresi, owner and operator of MMC) who suffered from a terrible disease called ‘Pulmonary Hypertension’.
On August 28th, 2014, Connie underwent a massive operation which was preformed by Dr. Marc dePerrot at Toronto General Hospital.
She miraculously was cured from this awful disease.  She survived thanks to Dr. dePerrot and lived for another 16 months after which she passed away suddenly on December 23, 2015 of a totally unrelated cause.
Our yearly fundraiser remains very dear to the Morresi hearts and commemorates Connie’s legacy with all proceeds going directly to this cause which remains very dear to the Morresi hearts.  Every year, we have the opportunity to honour Dr. Marc dePerrot’s team at Toronto General Hospital as well as honouring the legacy of a wonderful women who touched the lives of so many people.
Rest in peace dear Connie and know that your legacy will live on through your family who is dedicated and misses you dearly. This year, the tournament was able to donate another $30,000.00 to this cause.  Over the three years, we have donated a total of $110,000.00.
This is possible of course only through the dedication of all the volunteers as well as all the wonderful supporters.
A special thanks to the Morresi Family, Paolo and his children (Rita, Mara, Sabrina and Ugo & Christine); Frank & Mary Salemi;  Salvatore Fazio and  Fabio Morresi for making this event another great success!
